Language & Character

E-mail from Grandma..
Rq is now 19 months +...
So far he has been trying to express himself, the way he thinks is right.
He always asks Apa itu?, even though he means also Siapa itu? But yesterday, for the first time, he asked me "dare?"

Also yesterday evening, he was playing with his model cars...making them run on the floor, climbing up a comodo rack, and above shelves. Then he accidentally dropped one. He immediately said "Ochichatta!"

For few days I have been telling him not to just cry when he wanted his milk. Meaning, when he is sleeping or half awake, he just cries...meaning he wants his bottle. He does'nt care to look for it. So I told him, naku ko wa iya daneh..obaachan wa nakanai ko ga suki desu. Miruku hoshikattara, "miruku hoshii" to ieba...ii ko desu ne.
The next day, he wanted milk, but he didnt cry...he asked me "nangisyyy''...and looked at me.
This evening he was trying to sleep, and had his milk as usual. When he had finished one bottle, he gave me the empty bottle and said nicely "syusyu lagi"Ofcourse I praised him and gave him another bottle. But again he finished without falling asleep, and again "syusyu lagi".I said, Okay kore de miruku nikai desu ne...Kore agetara, mo oshimai ne! He took the milk and finished again. Now he dared not asked, but neatly put his bottle on the shelf.
But then Rq couldn't sleep, turning up and around, banging his feet, not in anger but half playing. He talked something to me, like...minna nenne...
Finally he could stand anymore and asked: syusyu ada? I gave him a fuller bottle and he went straight to sleep!
This boy understands instruction well, and obeys it too!
I love him for it, and I love him sooo much!
Don't you?
