Kodomo No Hi

Congratulations!
Today is Rique's hatsu-sekku, the first time for him to celebrate Kodomo-no-hi!And for the Takeya family, this is also Hatsu-Sekku, as Rq is the first boy to be born in the family.
So I took the initiative to have Rq meet Okamura Ojiisan, as they have not met almost 1,5 months! That's not good! I knew Rq would be "eyeing" ojiichan with some suspicion, as he has reached the age of only trusting the people he has met within the week. I called Akichan if we could go together to see Ojiichan. Akichan had an appointment for 11.00, so she agreed to have the car pick us up and go to KKG before she proceeds to her destination. Kaito-chan came along, of course, with the baby-sitter. Novi had the day off, so I had to carry Rq with as minimum nimotsu as possible. As predicted, Rq didn't feel like going any closer to Ojiichan! He thought he didn't know him, haha... But Rq was amicable with Kaito-chan, even played odeko-gokko.
Kaito-chan also was happy and kept on saying Rikki's name. he can pronounce it well now! Kaito-chan started to understand Indonesian, and was singing some Indonesian song.
Aki-chan bought some ohagi, and we all had one each. Rq could only eat some morselsand some anko. Here are some pic of the day.

Pass the Test
It was my 2nd time to go shopping. Was a bit scared at the beginning with all the people, and all the colors surround me. Hey, I'm ok now.

9 months
I went to the doctor for another baby injection. I'm 9 months and 9.5kg.Now a days, I remember peoples face, and it makes me really anxious.
I don't want to be left alone !

Where's the Baby?

Please note how Rq suddenly doesn't look so babyish anymore.
He looks like an ordinary toddler, but quite cute to our eyes.
He can play odeko goko, rubbing foreheads with somebody else, much like the Kiwis (NZlander) do when greeting guests.
Today he seemed to have grown tired of the High Five...so much in demand these 2 days.
A baby girl his age (from neighbours), and Rq "sayang2" but hands were too forceful on thr girl's cheecks.
Also when doing "ii ko ii ko", rather than gently patting the head, Rq gave a blow on her head. Luckily she didn't cry.

Everything new
Mama has been very busy for the last few weeks, and Rikki has been cute as ever!
Here, Mama will update Grandma's e-mails.
Rikki has had dramatic change within this few weeks, he's discovered so much, started to make noise, started to show signs of the beginning of crawling, starting to look the side where his name is called, started grabbing his bottle, starting to recognize people and being shy, enjoying his food... Everthing is new for him, and everybody is delighted with everything new about him.
With so much love around him, he is the luckiest baby!

Naomi's parents have given their blessings to this union.

Naomi and Matt became acquainted when Naomi was with Citigroup Singapore, where Matt also was and still is.
If all goes as planned, the civil wedding will take place in Singapore, August 23, 2008.

Two Front Teeth
E-mail from Grandma :Hi there,
Just want to flash my two front teeth! Cute, don't you think? But I still look cross-eyed, because I was focusing on the camera which was so near my face!
And from today, I can hold my own mug, drinking ocha! Not so tasty though!
My mama came home from work a bit early today, so I was really happy. This morning, I had played with papa. He gave me that mug.
